Hey there,

First of all my compliments to the man behind the program, keep up the good work.
Now my problem [Image: biggrin.gif]

When playing back my mpegs (through GBpvr) that I recorded via the tvout of my pvr350 it looks like the position of the video is higher (black border at the bottom of tvscreen) than playing the same file with wintv2000 and also the quality of the picture is better with wintv2000.

When just displaying the mainmenu of the software there is also a small black border at the bottom.

Maybe I am doing something wrong or there are some settings I can try to solve this problem.

And has someone an xmltv file for Belgium because the channel setup is not working like it should, I used the xmltv from the Netherlands.

Thx ad advance

Greetzzzzz

PS: Sorry for my bad English

The position can be tweaked using settings in the config.xml file.

The default quality setting isnt the highest it can be. You can bump this up in the config app (in recording source settings).

I didn't max out the settings, because the MediaMVP clients would have trouble.

Hey there

Thx for the info, I really appriciate it [Image: smile.gif]

I changed the settings in de config.xml for my card to the following settings:

<!-- PVR350 settings -->
<UsePVR350>false</UsePVR350>
<UsePVR350QuickMode>true</UsePVR350QuickMode>
<PVR350Width>640</PVR350Width>
<PVR350Height>580</PVR350Height>
<PVR350OffsetX>45</PVR350OffsetX>
<PVR350OffsetY>20</PVR350OffsetY>

The position is now ok, the picture quality is also ok now (I looked over the record settings in the configuration program, my bad [Image: sad.gif] )
I still have a little horizontal stripe (not long about 3 cm) at the bottom that comes and goes, nothing serious. But playing with the above settings doesn't make it go away, maybe you know a solution for that.

Thx for the help so far!!

Greetzzzz

PS: Is there another way to make a donation because I don't have visa or mastercard?

Great program, the best I've seen arround!

I havn't heard of the stripe before. What does it look like? Interference?

The donations link takes you to PayPal, who accept all sorts of payments. If none of the PayPal methods take your fancy, email me and I'll let you know my delivery address.

Hi,

I've put a capture of the video on the pc so you can see what I mean with the white stripe.

Thats the oddest thing [Image: biggrin.gif] I've never seen that before.

Does it also do this if you capture using WinTV2000?

Woops linked a wrong picture [Image: rock.gif]

Here is the right one White stripe

Sorry for that, I'm kinda tired [Image: smile.gif]

I also found a another problem with the manual record scheduler.
When I program a show that's on tv every weekday and not in the weekend and choose "record every Monday-friday" it just record's that show only once on the date I programmed the recording. Weird stuff.

Hello all,

I have the same line at the bottom.

But it's also the same when I playback a file with WinTV2000 and only on AV-OUT.

So I think, it's a problem with PVR-350 itself.

And it's not on all channels, (in Germany e.g. on MTV)

Kind regards

Quick Note: Kudos to Sub -- this is an excellent program you're developing :-)

The white line may be teletext or CC information that is intended to fall outside the viewable screen.

I noticed that when I play with the OSD size and position, the video size and position changes as well. I can't seem to find a good compromise where I can get proper overscan and still see the whole OSD.

Also, the Y size and offset parameters affect the OSD and video in the same way. However, the X size and offset do not seem to affect the video as I would expect them. In fact, X size has no effect on the video.

When I use WinTV2000 immediately after using GBPVR, the size and offset settings seem to stick. WinTV2000 probably just doesn't set these parameters.

Sub: Is this behavior by design? If this is already the intended behavior, I would like to see additional control of OSD size.
