I usually use Virtualdub...how can I retain the following to be used in the bat file?
When I use Virtualdub-mpeg2 to do my conversion to xvid, I always do a 2 pass encode, and I set the target video size (for certain shows like The Boondocks, Family Guy, American Dad) to end up being 100 megs (with audio=120 MB file). (other ones, like Surface, Lost & Smallville I set to target size 290 MB, so with audio it is total of 350MB file).
I also always crop out a certain number of pixels on the left (14) and right (6) to get rid of the ugly stuff that normally is outside the viewing of a regular TV set.
and lastly
I don't suppose this bat can automatically do anything advanced like Inverse Telecine or Deinterlace right? I'm still new to all this transcoding stuff, but I did find out that those 2 things do wonders for my video quality. esPECIALLY the inverse telecine.
just a few thoughts and questions. thanks for your help.
