Having problems with my video retrieving dvd info from imdb

Hi all,
Sorry if this has been posted before, I have searched the archives to no avail. I recently installed the myvideos plugin (very nice btw) and everything is functioning fine except for the get info function. The plugin queries me for the name (by popping up the keyboard) and seems to download the information. But as it goes to store it I get the following error:

object reference not set to an instance of an object


Any suggestions? Are there any logs that I can gather to help debug this issue?

i would need you to post the full gbpvr.exe.log file to be sure, but the common things to check are

1. the skin you are using (it should work fine with the blue skin)
2. if you have the mydatabase.mdb file and your connection string is correctly pointing to it

I have had that problem for a while too (and capone had it a while ago as well).
Just gave it another check, and even in the standard blue skin it gives the error. GBPVR.exe.log gives the following:

does this happen on every lookup or is it a particular query, if so can you tell give me the search text and which url (just the number) you used from the set or results from the imdb query (err you know how querying imdb usually gives you multiple choices to choose from, which one you used)

Hi,
I have had this problem happen with both the blue skin and the xmedia skin. It does not matter what dvb I look up or what I put in. I have enclosed the log file, please let me know what I can do to help.

yeah its the same error tieke is getting, im not exactly sure what the problem is, ive started working on the next version of my vids, so you may have to wait for that (hopefully only a couple of weeks). its completely new code so this bug probably wont be there any more.

I seem to recall it is every lookup (as long as it is IMDB, all the others work fine) and when I checked this morning it didn't even get to the stage of giving you options, although I vaguely recall it did in the past. No problem though - I mostly use the TV episode lookup in My Videos which works flawlessly.

if it doesnt give you an option that just means it found the movie directly (95% of the time it will return multiple hits, but the other it will find it in one search).
