noob lost in the world of PVR's

Hi, I am another noob that is having trouble figuring this whole thing out. I live in the U.S and have direct t.v. service. So is it possible for me, with a t.v. tuner card (or two) and this software to record and timeshift all programs on my direct t.v. service, or can I only do that stuff to the t.v. that my tuner recieves? Thanks in advance!

You can do it, with the right card, with an IR blaster, such as the retail version of the PVR-150.
If you want to do two at once, you need two tuners, and also two direct tv boxes.
