Thanks for the advice.

I changed the gbpvr key in the PriorityRecordings.xml file to the proper program path because it was set to program files/denvz/gbpvr.exe or something like that. That should fix everything up.

I dont want to seem like a sore, but where in the config.xml can I tweak the m402u device initialization settings so it can be as fast as intervideo's manager when starting livetv?

There are no settings for this.

Okay, earlier I set a recording and my machine did not wake up as it should. What can be done to get the wake up from hibernation feature working properly again?

There are no configureable settings for waking machines up. GB-PVR tells Windows what time it would like it to wake up. If the machine doesnt wake, then it probably doesnt fully support the Windows Power Management features.

It sounds like your machine and GB-PVR dont like each other.

I also noticed that the windows updates are screwing everything up. Before the updates the computer ran fine without the unreliable wake up problem.

Some
In the next release, will you use the same method of scheduled recording as hauppauge did. For example, hauppauge scheduler sets the recording profiles in the Scheduled Tasks folder for the computer to execute. I was just wondering could gbpvr have this option in the next release?

Great software Sub.

To be honest, I have no plans to change the way this works. It has been unchanged since the beginning of 2004 (nearly two years), and works well for the vast majority of users. There has only ever been a very small handful of users that have had problems. So few that I'm confident the problem is not in GB-PVR, but rather something in the way their machine is setup, or the power management offered by their motherboard.

It just calls the SetWaitableTimer() API, then Windows does the rest.

I dont really know what it requires behind the scenes. I've never looked into it. Most people dont need to enable anything, or change any BIOS settings. It just works (ok, in your case not).

I've never edited any of my BIOS settings, and my machine wakes just fine.
