Hi

I have no sound on recordings, or when I do timeshifting! Fine sound on LiveTv, and I don't have any problemes i WIN2000.
I have the latest drivers for my TV-card, and I have tried alot of diff settings Codec.

What am I missing??

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

06:43:36.078 VERBOSE - Video Renderer

06:43:36.078 VERBOSE - TV Audio
06:43:36.078 VERBOSE - TV Tuner
I'd guess its something to do with the ffdshowaudio filter being used on your machine. This has caused a problem for some users in the past.

Thank you so much, SUB

Do you think an uninstall of FFDSHOW will do the trick?

Just have to say, that the GBPVR is, by far, the most stable, fast loading, good looking and flexible PVR-software I tried. And belive me, I have tried alot of PVR-software.

Keep up the good work!!!!!!

I think so. There may also be an option in the ffdshow settings to disable it.

Finally !!!

I have tried everything in GBPVR-setup. Everything in windows-setup. Every tip in the forum and on the net. I was going insane. I just wanted this program to work. I couldn't give up on it.

Finally I succeeded, and here is my simple howto

1) Fresh windows XP pro SP2 (DirectX 9c) install
2) Install DotNet 1.1 SP1
3) Install Hauppauge drivers (150 PVR). I didn't install the wintv2000 app.
4) Install DVDdecrypter
5) Install Demon-tools
6) Install and setup GBPVR
At this point: Still no stable sound in timeshift/recordings
Here comes the trick:
7) Install til Intervideo WINDVD 7 !!
Somehow WINDVD sets up something in the background(mayby some codec-controllers)
8) Then I use the MS-tool to set the default MPEG-codec to the Intervideo for Hauppauge (the WINDVD-one don't give a good video-quality).

Now everything is so fine. I just love this program(and yes, I have made my first donation ever.....) Smile

Up until now, you've not installed any MPEG-2 audio/video decoders.
