Recording problems

I've been having problems getting recordings to actually record. Just now I started a manual recording, a folder called manual recordings was created in my video library folder but there is not a file in the folder. Disk light flashes as if a recording was being made, but no file. Recordings menu says "Recording", but I can't find the file. Over the last week or so, I've had a number of scheduled recordings not record.

Got any ideas? Things to try? I've restarted the recording service a couple of times, still no change.

Can you email your GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log? It should tell me the file names etc. The best thing you can do is try and find a repeatible set of steps. If we can find this, we can fix it.

 I have the same problem...
 I use PVR-350 and GBPVR v1.5e and Direct recording .
      I use only Manual recording as I do not have xmltv available here.

 I schedule a record to start ...(in GB-PVR status : Scheduled)
                     when time comes               : Recording
                     ...creates a directory        : ManualRecordings
                     but no file is there even if it finishes

 NOTICE: WinTV recording service works OK.
         Live TV works and the buffered files are created...

I should notice that in v1.4 release I remember that I had no problem with manual recording ...but no ManualRecordings directory was created.

Check the "Misc" tab in the configurator. If you have "Auto-create folder when recording...", checked, uncheck it and try a manual recording. That fixed it for me.

Ok, looks like there is a problem with the auto-create folders option. Dont use it for now, and I'll make sure the problem is fixed for the next release.
