I've had this problem for the last 2 builds but it seems much more frequent in 16.

The system works fine but it seems like after it records a scheduled program I cant watch live tv for more than a few minutes before it returns to the main menu. If I exit and open config and save or just restart the recording service its fine again.

Any suggestions?

Can I use scheduler to just restart the service a few times a day?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logs and I'll take a look.

can I just send in the logs or do I need to copy them when the problem is happening?

You need to send them just after the problem occurs.

I had that problem when I used up most of my free memory. The why in your case will be another matter, and may have nothing to do w/ why it is happening to you.

Next time it happens, check your memory usage just after it happens, and see what the peaks were as well.

it did it again and here are the most recent logs, let me know if you find anything.

I've had this problem occur a number of times. It seems to happen when my system has been on for a few days (> 2 days).

I just had this same problem occur a few mins ago. I restarted the service and it fixes the problem. Also, when I restarted the service, it wiped out GBPVR.exe.log so I don't have the previous version. I can't open cfreukes' logs, says the zip is corrupt so I can't tell if his was doing the same thing. If this happens again, I'll be sure to save the logs before restarting the service.

I was looking at the "GBPVR.exe.log" and it would say
Quote:RenewLease: 8

Then the next line would be something similar to "RenewLease failed" and would happen about the time Live TV was exited.

After restarting the service, the log does not say RenewLease failed.

Sorry this took so long. I was away for a week. I finally reproduced the problem.

30 seconds after entering Live TV, it quits to the main menu. It doesn't matter if I stay on one channel or change channels, 30 seconds and exits. There are no issues watching a recorded program. My system up time is 1 day 8 hours. In that time, I've recorded shows, watched live tv, and watched recorded programs. I open Services and restart GB-PVR Recording Service and all is fine again.

This is what I was refering to in my previous post
Quote:GBPVR.exe.log:

4/11/2006 1:42:19 AM.312 VERBOSE [2] RenewLease: 8
4/11/2006 1:42:19 AM.312 VERBOSE [2] RenewLease() failed

Hope any or all of this helps. Thanks.
