Hello,
If one uses ffdshow when playing back a television program containing the NTSC USA subtitle stream as the line of white static at the top of the screen, does ffdshow automatically detect that this should not be displayed?
I created my own custom aspect ratio with dimensions 0,-0.01,1,1 which cuts off just the top 1% of the TV signal. I use this aspect ratio for most live/recorded TV viewing to chop off the visible subtitle stream line. If anyone has any questions about how to enable/disable the included aspect ratios or create custom ratios, please respond or start a new thread and respond and I'd be glad to help. I've experimented with this quite a bit and have it pretty much figured out.
I too mapped the F7 key to an unused button on my remote in the absence of auto ratio detection. I can help anyone with a Hauppauge remote do this and would be glad to help.
Brian
