You can access a couple of extra features by adding the following registry value.

open regedit and navigate to this key

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Filters\Video]

then add a dword value named PureVideoPropPage and set it to 1

This adds a new tab to the settings for the decoder giving these options.

Edge Enhancement slider
Noise Reduction slider
and an overdrive check box (no clue what that does)

I find that moderate edge enhancement helps counteract the slight softness of my T550P. It also seems to be doing this in hardware with my Nvidia 6800. So I guess all Purevideo capable Nvidia hardware would do the same.

The noise reduction seems to me to be pretty poor, looks more like motion blur to me, but I guess it some type of temporal filter.

For the more adventurous there's more

Add a dword value EnablePropPage and set it to 1 and you'll get some more options.

As always if you're not familiar with editing your registry it's probably safer not to do it.

The registry location above is from a win xp system and it may be different for other Windows versions.

Apologies if this info has been posted here before but I searched and didn't find it so I thought it might be of interest to others.

What version of the PureVideo decoder are you two using? Bronze, Gold, or Platinum? http://store.nvidia.com/

And do you only get the benefit of the video card's Purevideo features if you use nvidia's purevideo decoder? Or will the Cyberlink/Intervideo decoders also use those features?
