A feature that automatically shuts the computer off when recording is completed. That would be nice.

you can set it to hibernate... and it will enter into hibernate once a recording is complete.
If you want to know why nPVR is the bomb, ask my wife!

Hibernate doesn't work well on my computer. It never wakes up so I have to do a reset. I want GBPVR to turn the computer power off like AutoGK and Nerovision does.

There are a few things to consider before hibernate.
The idea to automatically hibernate after a certain task has been done it's wonderful even if the following conditions should also be considered:

1) hibernate shouldn't initiate if there is a programmed recording within a certain time (eg 30 minutes)

2) hibernate shouldn't initiate if there is an MVP connected.

3) hibernate shouldn't initiate if there is a GBPVR activity already running

4) hibernate could starts if the above condition ar not met and if GBPVR is has not been in idle (main screen) for a certain time (eg 10 minutes)

there are some posts that cover some of the above conditions, but none considering as the items 3 and 4.

These are the cases should be coverere by a special GBPVR task.

dfdario:

All of the things you mentioned are already taken into account by either gb-pvr itself or the suspend / hibernate trigger function built into the operating system.

I use suspend as it wakes faster but hibernate is functionally identical from this viewpoint.

My system does all the things you list above perfectly with no added anything. I just set windows power management to put the system into suspend after 10 minutes. If all of the hardware and drivers in your computer are working correctly and support hibernate / suspend correctly then that is all you have to do.
