Request from wife - auto advance guide

My wife has a habit of doing this, turns on npvr just before the the top of the hour or before hour:30, brings up the guide, decides what she wants to watch, by this time the time advances such that the most left part of guide is no longer current, press play to watch the channel she wants to see, but npvr does nothing because she selected a show that is now in the past.

Is there a way, when the guide is being displayed, to auto advance the guide's time when the hour or half hour advances?

It's already supposed to do this. I'm not in a position to look at this right not, but if you bump the thread in a couple of weeks, I'll check it out.

I am not sure about the server, but it has been my experience that it does not advance on clients. If the guide is closed, then reopened, the guide advances, but if stays open, it does not advance.

I am pretty sure the selected show doesn't change, just the time and arrowheads.

I checked my client and left the guide open for two days while I was gone. When I came back, it was on the current day and time. I pull my vote:o
