Change channels by the number

it would be nice to press 1 0 7 enter and have it change to channel 107.

This has probably already been suggested... but I didn't see it anywhere.

Did you try it? You can in the current release.

hmm. yeah I tried it... i'm using the USB-UIRT though to control the tuner...

is it still possible from that scenario?

Yes. Try it with the mini-guide on the screen (green button). This will show the numbers in the bottom left.

Thanks for the quick replies sub. I was able to try it again later last night and it did in fact work.

In fact.. gbpvr is the most reliable pvr software I've used.

Here's one issue that's kind of major though. It seems that whenever I've tried to fastforward something gbpvr locks up. This goes for buffered TV or past recorded shows.

I can't say the same for rewind (but only because I haven't really tried to rewind, only fast forward)

What sort of client are you running (Overlay/VMR7/VMR9/PVR350/XCard/MVP)?

I was using pvr-350 card with VMR9.

I switched over to using Overlay and now I don't get the lockups when skipping around, but there are other small issues...

When I hit the end of a previously recorded program, my tv-out froze and my PC monitor went back to the menu.

When watching live TV I was unable to fastforward or rewind.

I almost missed that one. Any help is always much appreciated, particularily if you artist inclined. Like many programmers, I'm artisticly challenged.

I've still got to provide access to some of the backend, but if you've got something in mind, maybe you could mock up a page or two.

I was thinking we'd probably end up with a reasonably simple three or four page website.

- page to show list of pending recordings (with cancel link buttons)
- page to schedule a manual recording (channel/starttime/endtime/filename)
- page which shows TV Guide (with schedule link buttons)

...but I'm also open to suggestions.
