I would guess you have found my problem. It says System Default. and there are not other options to change it to. What should I download from where? if that is the solution.

Video decoders are included with lots of software, but it sounds like you dont have any of these.
The Intervideo decoder is installed with the WinDVD software. There is a also a version of this decoder installed with the Hauppauge software. The Cyberlink decoder is installed with the PowerDVD software. There are lots of others too, but these a couple of the more common ones.

I used an interVideo install disk from my laptop and now I have everything working. Well the sound stops working when I pause but I am trying to research that right now. Thanks for the help.
