It'd be great (and so easy to add) if there were different skip amounts, rather than just 1 min and 10 sec. I know you can skip by any number of sec, but that is a pain to type "180<skip>" every time, rather than just having a single button skip 3 mins. It'd be even better if the user could define what the skip amounts were. e.g. I might want 3 mins, 30 sec, 1 min, and 10 sec all available. Someone else might want a different combination.

or you can switch to use minutes by default, so "3<skip>" would skip three minutes.

Sure there is that one setting, but I am saying what would be REALLY helpful would be to have A FEW settings, e.g. one button skips by 30 sec, one by 10 sec, and one by 3 min.

My hardware PVR had non configureable skip amounts. But what was nice was the fact that skip forward semed to be set to 1 minute and backward was set to about 30 seconds. It would be real neat to be able to configure the forward and back skip default amount independently. That way if you're skipping a commercial and go too far, you can skip back a little at a time to get close to the right spot.

great work on the last release.

Ok, I think this is a good idea. Done.

At the moment the GB-PVR interface is designed around the Hauppauge remote, and there just isn't buttons available for these extra skip durations, but dont worry I agree with your suggestion.

Sometime in the future I'll make the remote control interface more flexible allow uses define their own functions for each button, but this is low priority so I cant say when I'll get to it.
