After ffwd recording it hangs

I am recording using a Nova-T usb2
I have recorded some programs fine but i keep getting some where when i try an d ffwd using the >>| key on the remove it jumps forwards and then freezes. I can press back and choose it again.
If i dont ffwd and let it play its gets to a point where the video freezes but the audio continues to play.

Any ideas?

Sounds like either the video cut out during the recording and mux filter didnt handle it gracefully. Which mux are you using?

I would have suggested the Microsoft one, but you're already using that. I dont know. Maybe your signal is marginal?

Could be - it always seems to be channel 4 recordings
