My Picture Problem

I'm just setting up gbpvr with a MVP and after several days I've got most things to work. However, when I use My Pictures I get the menu of folders and then when I click on a folder I get the error message "Error:Object reference not set to an instance of an object". I copied a picture into the root directory that I set up in the config for the plugin and that plays OK.

I'm currently using BlueMCE2, but I have tried XMEDIA DX and I get the same problem. All version are the latest as I've downloaded them all over the last week or so.

I have copied MyDatabase into the GBPVR directory, but the only entry in the whole database it the location of the jpeg in root directory.

do you get this problem with the "blue" skin?

if so recreate the error then post your gbpvr.exe.log file (in the gbpvr root directory).

I can't get the menu option for My Pictures when I use the Blue skin. I have attached the log file anyway.

I copied the install program into the gbpvr directory and then copied the files over to the relavent sub folders. I've also added a screen shot of the directory structure in case you can see a problem with the install.

yeah you extracted the files to the wrong place, you'll see there is a gbpvr directory in the plugins directory, this shouldnt be there.

you copied the mypicturesplugin.dll to the plugin directory but all the other files (including the skin) arent in the correct place.

Thanks for that, I've moved the files around. My pictures now appears with the Blue skin. But I still have the same problem when changing folder. Again I have enclosed the log file and directory structure in case I've still made a pigs ear of the install.

no idea, there doesnt appear to be any error reported in the log.

Not sure what happened to the previous log. The one attached has several errors.

you could try:
in the keymappings directory copy any one of the .xml files and rename it too
"OnScreenKeyboard.xml", i doubt that will make any difference, but there doesnt appear to be any major errors in the log (well none that would suggest something is wrong)

i wouldnt call that a fix, just instructions to how to set it up (which i assume he has already).
