Hi.
I think I got a defective MVP, but want to make sure.
I get an image & sound if the I connect the white/red/yellow cables from my MVP to my SD TV.
When I try to use the S-Video connection, I get a scrolling screen which goes side ways very distored. It's not the cable as the same cable work just fine on other devices. I tried powering down/up TV, software, MVP all to no avail.
Does this sound like a defective MVP?

). I don't know of a 5-pin cable either unless you count the shield as the fifth pin but it's actually the metal part of the connector. Do you have another s-video source to feed into the TV to see if it works? I use s-video on both my MVPs and it works fine. The quality is definitely better than the composite output.
