I've read every post over the last few months and haven't been able to find a resolution.

My setup:
- PCH A-110
- Windows 7 machine running GBPVR
- HDHomerun streaming HD over by GB network to GBPVR

My install:
- GBPVR - everything works fine from the computer
- Installed mvpmcx2 using CSI to my PCH harddrive

The problem:

I run GBPVR from my PCH using the web service and it starts up no problem, I see the correct guide, correct video etc. Trying to play any video doesn't work. When I try to watch live TV, the TV just goes black and stays that way. I monitor Ethernet traffic on my computer and see that video traffic is streaming from the HDHomerun to the computer (download) but there is no upload traffic to the PCH. So I know that PCH is controlling GBPVR on my computer but its not streaming the traffic...

- I've disabled all firewalls (computer and router)
- I followed the install instructions (enabled streaming on my computer etc.)

Everything with the GBPVR install works perfectly from the computer.

Please help -- I've spend hours trying to fix this. If you need any log files please just let me know what you want and where to get them. The CSI installer does such a good job, I'm not even sure where it installed mvpmcx2.

thanks,
whurlston

Run Config and on the "Misc 2" tab, check to make sure that "Enable NMT streaming extensions" is checked.

The CSI installer does do a great job of installing the client (to the internal drive of the NMT) and there is no need for an mvpmc share or some of the more complicated install procedures. You still need to run NMTInstall the update GBPVR to accept a client.

On the third set of options there are are three key things that need to be enabled (see attached)

Typically this problem is because you have not told the GBPVR Recording Service to Interact with the Desktop.

Whurlston, the Enable NMT streaming extensions is checked... I thought maybe the username and password underneath may need to be changed but I didn't touch them from default.

Mvallevand, I will try this as soon as I get home and let you know.

Thanks for the immediate replies.

Mvallevand,

I just tried running NMTInstall with only those 3 options selected and the same problem still happens. When prompted for the MAC card I put in the right address but I didn't change the directory from the default as I'm not sure where CSI installed -- not sure if that's important for just these 3 settings.

Should I send log files? Where would I find them?

thanks,

Compress and attach them to a message. The support question posting link is here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=16767

If you are running 64 bit, some user experience indicates you may need to reboot the server.

thanks,

I submitted here because GBPVR was working fine on computer and thought it was more related to interaction with PCH. I will submit on the support forum. I attached my .zip files just so you can see what's going on.

Posting here is fine, it was the log info I wanted you to see. The problem is the webserver

Code:
2010-01-11 16:46:36.699    ERROR    [4]    Error starting webserver: Could not load file or assembly 'GBPVRRecordingService, Version=1.0.3529.34129, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Check the services property to see if Interact with Desktop is check. If it is you may need to stop the recording service and delete the following files in C:\Program Files\devnz\GBPVR\web\bin

GBPVRBackendCommon.dll
GBPVRPublic.dll
GBPVRRecordingService.exe
NativeUtilities.dll

and then let GBPVR reload them.

Thanks so much for your help. Where would I find the services property?
