Erm... hum,

what is priorityrecording.exe? Do I need it?

It crashes from time to time, but I do not notice any disadvantage. All my recordings are ok...

(I feel stupid to ask that question, but I really dunno what it is...)

I've been seeing this recently as well. Usually at startup after system reboot.

PriorityRecording.exe is part of CDK Scheduler, which is included with XRecord. It is used with XRecords Schedule option, and allows for priority based scheduling, where the built in scheduler offers a First in First out scheduling. If you don't ever plan to use the priorityrecording option in XRecord, you can delete the option from the PostUpdateEPG.bat that looks like:

priorityrecording.exe > record.log

The program is complaining because it is looking for a file in the GBPVR directory called PriorityRecording.XML. If it can't find that file, it will give the error depicted above. The file should have come with XRecord, but can also be obtained from the Wiki if it is missing.

I have seen another thread before i posted this one. The reason why I posted it was, that I do have this xml file in the gbpvr directory...

Anyway. I will disable this option. Thanx King!

The other reason it might be complaining is that the XML File might not be valid. I more than likely need to toss a try/catch around the validation of the xml file.

I have the same error, i found 2 bugs (i will also post this in the XRecord / Guide2J as well).

found file "PostUpdateEPG.bat" found it in the root GBPVR directory.

Somthing i notice, nowhere does it say this file MUST BE EDITED to point to your installation of GBPVR, mine said "cd c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr" my GBPVR isnt installed here, i changed it to "cd d:\program files\devnz\gbpvr"

Next i cant find "PriorityRecording.XML" and i cant find it on WIKI either so where do i get this file???

If it should be installed with XRecord why wasnt it???

My error was also due to having GBPVR installed on my d partition. I simply edited the file to point to d and the error went away. I only got the error on boot up.

I have an odd question....

In the BAT PostUpdateEPG.bat file it says on the second line "PriorityRecording.exe > recording.log" so why when its run the DOS box on th screen shows "PriorityRecording.exe 1> recording.log"??? Is this right?

From the point of view of a computer engineer this would not be right, BAT files are supposed to do excacly as they are shown, not alter them slighty to run when you watch them on the screen.
