I've not had my PVR turned on overnight all that much as I hadn't got any quiet fans until recently.

However now I can have it on 24/7 PriorityRecording.exe throws errors every night at the same time (3a.m.).

To test that this wasn't just down to the machine I installed GBPVR on another machine and left that on for 48 hours, both nights it threw the same error.

I am at work at the moment so I don't have all the details, but from memory it is something like:

priorityRecording.exe 1>log... (something I can't quite remember)

And the error says something like 'an uncatchable error was thrown' and then it has the process & thread ID.

If I press OK the cmd prompt carries on and does something, but its too quick for me to see.

You should post this in the "plugin and skin support" section, since the author of priorityrecording might not be following this section.

Defusion, 3AM just happens to be the default time that the EPG updates. Try another time (say 4AM) and see if the crash moves with the new time.

Is priorityrecording not part of the base install then, on my PVR I have a couple of plugins installed (xRecord, BleepBloop, Shutdown) I can't think of anything else.

I don't think xRecord is installed on my other machine although I'll have to check.

I had considered this, but I haven't played around with it yet.

I think it's installed with xrecord. You'll probably find it in the UpdateEPG.BAT file, which would explain the regular 3AM errors!

check to make sure that you have PriorityRecordings.xml in the directory. Can you post the stack trace?

I too am getting that same error. In the PostUpdatEPG.bat the
"PriorityRecording.exe > recording.log"

Here is a command line dump:

Now I just downloaded the latest posted CDKScheduler, but I do not have a "RecTracker" dir. This seem to start when I upgraded 92.11, overlay of .08. Everything else seems to be working fine, just this.

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

For those of you that are getting the error about the RecTracker.dll, I've attached the one that I sent to ZaDDaZ a while ago when he was having a similar problem. Just add it to the gbpvr root directory.

This should fix the problem.

Hello,

I too am having the crashing problem. I've already installed RecTracker into the root directory as described above.

My error:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process ID = 0x950 (2384), Thread ID = 0xa90(2704)

Any help is appreciated.
