Hi,

I have installed GBpvr 2 days ago. I tried to record programs manually without success. The software claims, it is recording, the capture card (pvr350) is locked, but nothing is written on the HDD.
After trying on my other PC (first PC with win XP, second with win 2000), I had the same effect. No recording.

I solved the problem by removing the default option: AUTO-CREATE FOLDERS WHEN RECORDING.

As I have no EPG at the moment, I think, the program has no name to begin with, and fails to create a file name.

I hope, this will help the programmer(s?), who already did a great job.

Ran into the same problem last night, will try your solution tonight. Thanks for the tip. When you say "capture card is locked", do you mean PC hangs, or is there a way out of this situation without rebooting? My pc freezes if I hit escape!
Will update drivers first and check logs.

Hopefully will see FF/RW in LiveTv in next release! Thanks!

Ok, looks like there is a problem with the auto-create folders option. Dont use it for now, and I'll make sure the problem is fixed for the next release.

Sorry to dash your hopes, but FF/RW in LiveTV wont be included in the next release. It is high on the priority list, but over the last couple of weeks I've been quite busy at work, also the redesigned website, and setup and installed all my software on my new development machine. Hopefully I'll get to it soon.

Hi Willetin,

>> capture card is locked", do you mean PC hangs

No, the PC does not hang. This already happened too, but not in this situation.
With capture card locked, I mean, GBPVR captures the PVR350 card and does the job. Kind of recording without writing on the HDD!

Thank you for this software Sub. I spent 3 weeks on trying softwares (mythtv, vdr, myhtpc) with my new PVR350. None of them was able to fullfill my needs: stable enough and OSD on TV out from the card.

Hi, I want to report that the Fredroger tip (no subdir creating) works for the manual recording issue when you don't use EPG.
Furthermore I had a problem with the IRO my PVR350 uses, was used also by USB, disable of USB made my system more stable, but not enough. Gonna try other hardware.

Sub, don't rush things, I'm glad you're writing this software for free, thanks
