Hmmm...not sure what is going on here...I'm probably going to have to make a modification to the PriorityRecording.exe to catch the error and put out a bit more information when it happens. The only things I can cause this error, are the items we have already reviewed.

Question, are you aware the DOS box puts out a different view of the BAT file? Is this supposed to do this?

The whole point of a BAT file is to save you typing it in, why is the DOS box showing a different command that the one in the PostUpdateEPG.BAT file?

This shouldn't affect anything. Not sure why you are getting the 1>recording.log on the screen instead of just >recording.log.

Give me a few days to put together a version that has some more error trapping information in it. Life and work are pretty busy, as soon as I get new version in place I'll post the new exe to this thread and you can try it out.

Ive copied this BAT file to another PC and it does the same thing (both Windows 2000), and on NT4, if you remove the " > recording.log" then it doesnt show the "1".

Are you trying to capture the result of PriorityRecording.exe in the Recording.log or using recording log as data for the EXE file to run?

I did retype the line as well to make sure it wasnt something hidden in the text file, and its not....

It's just capturing the output to the recording.log file.
