Just got my new Sky decoder (the HD based one) and have been playing with it. It's real fast compared to the old one and there are some really cool features. (Still exploring)
One of the best is the ability to set it up with a 16x9 TV, but also the ability to set it up so 4:3 images are displayed as they would be on a 4:3 TV (black bars either side) while the TV is still set to 16x9. No more aspect ratio changes (except for DVD's).
The recorded picture quality is awesome - I can't tell the difference between it and live TV.
It's certainly going to get a thrashing in our household.
