Just built a PVR (my third one) on a Pentium 4 2.0ghz, 1gig RAM, ATI Rage 128 Pro, SoundBlaster PCI and a Hauppauge 150. Live TV and DVD playback (from harddrive) video looks like it is playing at 1 frame per second, giving a freeze frame effect. Sound is OK (although a bit low). Play/views fine in the WinTV2k Application. I have BeyondTV/BeyondMedia but really wanted to get GB-PVR working. Since there are a multitude of possible settings/dlls/drivers/registry entries that could impact this issue, I wanted to see if the more experienced have any ideas. Also are there any logs that might give me a clue? I really like the way GB-PVR is laid out and how it "feels", but obviously need to tweak it somehow. Thanks in advance....

Post the gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Its most likely related to the directshow filters installed on your machine.

I have a similar problem...I just upgraded to the latest GBPVR (I was back several releases) and my live TV video and audio is very very jerky. Recorded shows seem just fine, but live TV is unwatchable (the old release I was running had no probs). The problem exists on the PC and through the MVP but possibly worse via MVP. I haven't changed my setup since probably september 2005...did I miss something key along the way?? I don't see anything in the logs, but they look like jibberish to my unedukated eyz.

Huck, your problem sounds nothing like the original poster so I dont know why you posted here instead of creating your own thread.

Try setting your deinterlacing to 'encoder pass-through' to see if it helps. If it doesnt, then use the forum search feature to look other posts that talk about jerky video - I have nothing more to add on this than has already been posted several times over.

Thanks for your help...I had 4 GBPVR.exe-native.log files (native.log thru native-3.log) probably because I was mucking around with settings. All 4 are included in the text file (zipped) that is attached, in order, with embedded subtitles. Thanks
