comskip doesn't work with gbpvr

I can drag files into the comskip.exe, but it does not work or generat output files when integrated with GBPVR. I have not really changed any settings (btw, it is the latest version of comskip), and have selected it to run in the GBPVR config. I believe there was an error message, but it did not specify that it was comskip that generated it. I can drag an mpeg into comskip and it will create the files necessary, but i thought it was supposed to run automatically. Any ideas?

Run it from postprocessing.bat so you can enable the logging as explained in the wiki

if you have a file named: postprocessing.bat in your gbpvr directory, comskip is not called by gbpvr. If this is the case, run it with paralleprocessing.bat, like erik said.

I don't know if this is related but the error message is:

GBPVRRecordingService.exe
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0xc6c (3180), Threas id=0xb30 (2864).

Erik, thanks for a great program, a few notes:
In the manual (in the comskip.zip) you mention using preprocessing.bat, afaik that should be: parallelprocessing.bat (that works for me).
In the wiki ( http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Config/BatchFiles ) parallelprocessing.bat is misspelled as: parallelprocess.bat.
This all was a bit confusing, but I'm glad I worked everything out. I also forgot to turn the comskip-starting off in the gbpvrconfig, you might want to emphasize that it is one or the other (gbpvrconfig or parallelprocessing.bat/postprocessing.bat). Maybe I just read the wrong manuals etc.

Are there some recommended "safe" config settings for comskip? I like the plugin and dig the automative feature. I can still use it manually, but would rather not... Are there any features that should be enabled/disabled in the .ini? I'm good at following directions, but don't really like tweaking settings because I always forget what I played with and what worked/didn't work.

If you change the deaults in the distribution ini file to these its "more" safe.
Actually the defaults are already rather safe.
But then don't complain its not scraping off the last bit of commercial.....

The last change may cause Comskip to fail on non-USA recordings.

thanks, man. I'll try those out after work. I really dig how helpful everyone is in this community. Even if the program/plugins have their quirks, this environment of support (to me) is unsurpassed. keep up the good work. And I won't complain if one or two commercials squeak by I wouldn't have asked for "safe" if i didn't know that would be a possibility.

Quick questions... which mode is generally the most reliable? Posprocessing.bat (any changes need to be made to that)? Or enabling it within GBPVR config? Manual seems to work like a charm. And for the record, i copied the dictionary file, the ini file, and the exe file to the gbpvr root dir; was i missing anything?
