Some people have this problem, but I dont know why. I've tried talking to the hosting company, but they dont seem know what would be causing it.

Its strange, two of my PC here open the zip files fine (everytime), and one doesnt. All are running IE6 or XP.

Funny this, its there 10Gb clip you have on the internet (amoung others) that has stopped us choosing to move to Australia or NZ (amoung others, that wasnt the main reason but in the list "reasons to not move there").

This will be due to there own switches and how they are handling data requests. Its truncating the packets, i could look into this but there are people in that ISP that are paid alot of money to do that job.

I was thinking of moving and opening my own ISP service unlimted internet as i have yet to find ANY on that side of the planet who has an unlimited service.

I have a bet its packet size and padding. This used to be a VERY common problem with Modems and BBS around 16-18 years ago. I know i used to run then with the same problems with images loosing the bottom few lines of pixels.
Many Thanks
Ashley

Ive jsut checked, the file that was sent didnt even arrive as a "ZIP", normally they start ok but the start of this file wasnt listed as "PK", this assumes it was compressed with WINZIP version of the ZIP program.

Considering this has been seen elsewhere i am willing to bet this is an ISP and Broweser cache type issue.

NTL in the UK had this problem with IMAGES on the JPG front. They never admitted it, so many people complained it sort of sorted it self over night with them still saying it wasnt a bug. Funny that...
Many Thanks

Has there been a resolution posted for this problem yet? I'm seeing the exact same thing (very recently reinstalled everything) where I wasn't seeing it before.

remmed out in the bat file right now, but that isn't going to get me Priority scheduled recording...

:-(

Let me know if there is anymore info I can provide, but I see exactly the same error and message box...I also have GBPVR installed on a D: drive, but then I always have had it on D: and it used to work until my PC rebuild over the weekend.

For those that are still having problems, please try the following ZIP package (use a non-IE webrowser to download).

Ive downloaded and stopped the GBPVR service then copied over the old ones (in the route dir) and restarted the service.

I changed nothing else, will keep you posted in the next 24 hours.
Many Thanks

Not sure what is going on. As that is the exact same code and files that are running fine on my existing system.

So what happens from here? I will add though, no 2 systems are identical (i proved this in 1999, had to identical Compaq systems right down to BIOS firmware revision, dates, CPU stepping codes, the only difference was the serial number of the board and serial number of the CPU).

Took a version of Windows 95 OSR2, made a bit image copy of the CD (identical disc right down to the Unique disc ID was identical). Made sure the hard drives where identical (same make, model track and sector, only difference was the serial number).

Then made sure the BIOS where setup identically (did a complete reset then set them to boot from CD so there was no "odd" settings left inside).

Then sat in front of the machines (of which had the same keyboards, mice and Monitors), then put the CDs in at the same time and built windows, once finished a split second before the other.

Internet Explorer on one worked the other didn’t.... work that out????? Shows no 2 windows installs are the same EVER even when the machines are identical even down to the hard drive.

So what would you like to do to try and resolve this, what options do you have in GBPVR that you are using, i dont have the scheduler working yet (as it crashes) so still using the GBPVR version...

In case you wondered the IE problem on the Windows 95 test machines was a registry problem, set the PROXY then disabled and it worked, that was it, but the point is it shouldn’t of had this problem in the first place. I did this to prove to an IT Manager that no 2 systems are ever the same and just because it works on 1 it may not work on the other meaning there might be a build issue rather than the Administrator (me at the time) not doing there job.

I might add, the Manager still didn’t believe that even after watching it with his own eyes, i left the company as paid redundancy shortly after (jump with pay), 5 digit pay out..
Many Thanks
Ashley
