Attached is the wav file which you play to the remote. I'll post more detail later.

Cool, I'm going to have to play with this stuff when I have time to figure it out.

If it's not one toy it's another. Smile

After doing it on my own over the weekend, called OFA this am and they do it over the phone in one minute. Rolleyes They added video code 1408 for the MVP.
What, me worry?

What buttons do the blue, red, yellow and green get mapped to on the 8910? You guys are getting me interested.

On my mapping I put them on the L1, L2, L3, and L4. I'm tempted to paint the buttons the colors to match. I also put the aspect change F7 on PIP. But I might remap that so PIP to the "HOME" key so it makes more sence.

I'm not sure what OFA does with them.

Note: f7 is not a defalut remote funciton I had to create a code and add th code to the irremote.ini then insert the function into the GBPVR section.

The skip keys didn't work with the 1408 code they gave me for the MVP, so back to the 2000 code.
What, me worry?

A remotely reletad question.

If they say they give you a code, e.g. VCR 1408, is there any way you can find out the mappings of the keys. That is, how can I find where my tele-text button is, or the other way around, what is my L2 button doing?

I don't think OFA will provide the key mapping, they were pretty quick with me to add the code and say thank you, bye. But it doesn't look like the codes put anything on the 'L' learning buttons. I think you would have to use the JP1 cable and interface to determine key mapping.

If your trying to figure out if your Hauppauge code is working and your using a PC with the hauppauge IR software you can use the debug function of the irremote.ini file.

Open a Notepad txt file and name it "debug.txt" Set focus to it and start pressing buttons. The button names for the Hauppauge buttons will appear.

Otherwise you need to get JP1 up and working to view what's coded to each button.

Hmm, I'm not surprised, they probably don't have them, but I would have hoped that someone might have "reversed engineered" that Rolleyes

Well, I have JP1 up and running, but once the SW figures out what code it can use, it hides all information about button layout.

The only thing I've figured out is if I do a "key move", i.e. move a button to a new button, the JP1 shows me the original function. But to do that for all buttons would take ages...
