When I set the program to record shows, it will create the file but then doesn't record the show. It doesn't record anything. If I am watching Live TV and want to fast forward and rewind, there is no problem and I can record the program with no problem. Any idea what could be causing this?

Do you end up with a zero byte long file?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logs and I'll take a look.

Also seeing this problem.
Creates folder and filename but file is 0 bytes in length.
I hate to be dense but where are the log files. I will be glad to zip or rar the files and post them if I know which ones to include. (I don't think that you really want my entire archive Big Grin )

Thanks for a wonderful piece of coding !

The log files are in c:\program files\devn\gbpvr and have the .log extension.

Arghhh, I hate windows... Overlooked all of the log files as they were flagged as txt files and did not show the extention Rolleyes

Anyway, thanks to the command line, I was able to find them.

Let me know if any other info is needed or if I can assist in any way.

Your logs have some graph error I've not seen before:

17:00:00.984 ERROR failed to start Conexant Graph
17:00:00.984 VERBOSE ERROR_GEN_FAILURE

Sorry, I dont know what this means.

Do you for sure you card is in a functioning state? Have you tested it with other software?

Yes, I have been using the PVR-150 for several weeks using wintv2000 without the first problem so I am pretty sure that the card is OK.

Just spoke with the wife and she reminded me that the shows were back to back, 4:00-5:00 and 5:00-6:00 on different channels. I did not change the default setting of 1 minute Pre-Padding and 2 minutes fo Post-Padding. This means that the first show should have recorded at 03:59-05:02 and the second would have been 04:59-06:02 which overlap. I looked at conflicts and none were flagged.
Not sure this has anything to do with it as it failed yesterday, and I am pretty sure that I only had one item scheduled. I will schedule some more and watch what happens. Should I delete the log files or leave them as they are.

Thanks,

elwood

The overlapping part ogf the back to back recordings shouldn't matter at all. GBPVR only uses pre- and post-padding when it is possible without impacting other recordings.

You can leave the log files. A new one is created when gbpvr is restarted. GBPVR keeps the last 3 (or 4?) log files, and automatically deletes older ones.

I have attached my log files. The program I tried to record last that has the same problem was NCIS last night at 8:00 PST.
