I am recording of a hauppauge 150 without fm and I'm having the following problems,
A, comskip seems to work, but since the timeline seems to be corrupted on most recordings it sometimes skips into the next commercial LOL
some 1 hour episodes are like 10 to 20 minutes long also 2hours movies at times according to the progress bar are only an hour or less at times
(well the whole spectrum of the possible range of time is there,
this also means that at times skipping forward which is supposed to be 60 seconds ends up being ten minutes
So I assume the time corruption is not equal throughout the movie it's all over the place I don't know quite why this is just thinking the codes that determines the time is buggy.
Never had this problem with the trial of beyond4,but there I lost half my screen in some recordings, Free as in BEER is better since I haven't had that problem show up in gb-pvr Smile
Anyway just wanted to let you know about the timing problem.
My solution I killed comskip and I skip manually back and forth; although sometimes when I skip forward once I end up in the later half of the movie  and I have to skip back 30 times :p . Strange thing is though that when I have to skip back many times when I then over shoot(backwards) and then skip forward it seems to have learned and just skips forward normally
just letting ya know

I only see this behaviour when the timeline is corrupt due to a corrupt transmission. You didn't state what hardware you're capturing with. Mine is digital as in DVB-T. I don't run comskip during recordings but use postprocessing.bat to call videoredo to remux the file and then I call comskip.

I don't have timeline problems this way.

This is an often reported problem with the PVR150 (not other devices). It doesnt affect everyone, and how frequently you'll see this problem seems to vary. You were probably just lucky if you didnt see it with beyondtv, because I have seen other reports of beyond tv users with this problem.

Hauppauge have indicated they are aware of the problem and are investigating it.

If you did have a PVR150, you should note there is now another thread here talking about a fix for this timeline issue.
