net tv plugin

theres a net radio plugin, but wouldnt it be cool if there was a net tv plugin aswell? sure there mightnt be a lot of decent things to watch streaming over the internet, this might be a few years to early for this request, but it would just be cool, like a plugin with say 5-10 decent streams, and the ability to add your own, and a nice GUI would be so sweet. just something i've always wanted, i know theres a webcam plugin extension for the slideshow, but an independent net tv plugin would be nice, maybe with a record function, but that isnt necessary. just something that would be cool

I have never heard of any net tv stations yet, do have urls for any that are broadcasting ?

there are some in winamp 5 but I guess most of it are just the same series playing over and over or japanese music videos

i got a whole pile of internet video broadcasts (mostly live) which i can use in xbmc, like 500 or so, most are rubbish like debates and stuff, but some are alright, and there are regular broadcasts which are good, not 24/7 things but like every thursday at 6pm for an hour or something,

oh i got some that are live webcams from lectures in MIT which are sometimes interesting, if any one want these channels let me know ill either find the url i got these at our just send u a zip containing them. they're in a file format *.strm which is used for xbmc, its just a text file containing the webstreams url they all use the mms stream format

come on net tv would be cool, nice if it had a schedule thingy like the tv guide

you can get the webstreams here i put them on my server but take them off after awhile, they are in a .strm format which is a plain text file with the url of the video stream, theres quite a lot of video streams in there.

Hog's bar cam, i hadnt seen that one, theres far to many to see them all, im only on 128k at moment so they can be jerky should be on 256k soon, then ill go thru them.

if anyone wants to look into developing this, i found some great channel sources here most are in media player or real media, please someone look into doing this as a plugin, it would be so cool, doesnt have to record, just watch.
