Is there a way to just keep recording from an input? I'm going to be recording a lot of video from old tapes shortly, and I was hoping I could use gbpvr for this, rather then track down other software to just record it all.

Is such a thing possible? Even better would be if I could get it to split it up into a new file when I pressed a button.. but thats optional.

It would be awkward to do this in GB-PVR. You're probably better to use another app for this task.

I think a feature like this could be important. as I have come across a similar situation. I dont have the ir codes for my STB, so i have to manually change the channel, well it could be nice to switch the stb over to a channel that maybe i dont have in my guide and hit record. and just have it record to i press stop or it runs out of space

i have over 1200 channels, most of which can not be pulled from the internet into gbpvr. would be neat to be able to record stuff off the tv without having to have it listed in the guide.

You could always schedule a manual recording to cover the timeperiod you are interested in. It's what I do for a similar situation.
