Hello, I am using the Hauppage IR Blaster and Hauppage remote with a DirectTV STB. The problem I am having is when GBPVR changes the channel it sometimes misses a number. For example when changing to 230 it sends 30. Is there anything I can do to help resolve this?

Thanks,
Brian

Sounds like you just need to tweak the settings for the IR Blaster.. Run the IR Blaster Configuration tool, and increase some of the settings in the 'Advanced Configuration' button under the Test IR Blaster section.. here's what I am using for my Dish Network STB; maybe it will work good for you as well:

Min digits to send: 3
Inter Digit Delay: 50
Power On Delay: 50
Enter Key Delay: 0
Tuning Delay: 0
Single Digit Delay: 0

Send Enter after channel is checked.

Also, try using HaupBlast.exe as your channel changer as well; it's actually the preferred method to avoid conflicts with the recording service.

When you set up your capture source, you choose the Channel Changer that you want. Instead of "Hauppauge IR Blaster Plugin", choose ".exe channel changer", and point to HaupBlast.exe in the GBPVR directory.

sgilani,

Thanks alot for the help. I haven't had any problems since I made the change.

I was also having some issues with scheduled recordings. I tried to record a couple of shows that came on in the middle of the night when I would be asleep and they both failed.Since I made the change to HaupBlast.exe I haven't missed a recording yet. Thanks again.
