Not natively. There is some logic that will try to convert it to MPEG2 on the fly when you play xvid/dvix file, but this does require quite a bit of CPU grunt, and does have some significant limitations.

The PVR350 tv out hardware is only capable of play MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video files.

Hi Sub, can you tell me how to try and get that limited on the fly re-encoding going? I think my system could do it for the most part, its worth messing aroudn with I guess.

Also to anyone: With the native PVR-350 you can watch tv on your PC and/or tv at the same time with its programs.

As far as I have seen the PVR-350's drivers has serious problems with Hyperthreading, I'd turn it off unfortunately, I have no clue about dual cores or multi-cores (yes there is a difference, maybe not to that high up software).

There is a site on the web, a forum they haven ewer drivers and a better explaniation on installing them, then Hauppgagues site. I'm sorry I don't have the forum name at the time.

If you are not going to use your remote for anything use I suggest that you try to get direct reading of the remote working, it will provide two great benefits.
1. I find the remote just a bit more responsive.
2. YOU WILL NOT!!!! Have to have the GBPVR in focus for the remote to function!!!

A true Godsend if your media computer is also used for something else. You can have someone work on the computer and you can change and select files all the live day long without bothering them.

EDIT: Here is the forum, even if they have the same drivers listed on the site (I didn't check) they have a good uninstallation and installation guide worth checking out for PVR owners.

Just use the video library to find an AVI file, then try playing it. You should have to do anything extra.
