I'm having problems with mine also. The USB-UIRT stops working in GBPVR til I reboot the computer.

If wont work even after restarting the GB-PVR software, then it sound like something going wrong with the USB-UIRT drivers.

I've been have problem with my USB-UIRT also. Still trying to track the problem down.
The UIRT just stops sending the codes while changing channels.
If I right click on GB in the Tray, then restart recording services, it starts working.
Not running the latest build yet.

Are there any log files that may help track this problem down when the UIRT locks up?

Thanks
Steve

My problem was similar:

I think I tracked my problem down.
I "upgraded" to v1.4 of USB-UIRT Drivers. GBPVR Channel Changing stopped working as a result.

Here's a really wierd thing: Using v1.4, GBPVR would NOT learn the remote...just whizzed through all the settings as if all the remote's buttons had ALREADY been pushed, then offered a profile name. That's it.

UNinstalled old Drivers, went back to v1.3, channel change now OK. Also checked IF GBPVR would "learn" the remote codes with v1.3, which it did properly.

So, if it ain't broke... don't update.

[EDIT]Argghh Spoke too soon. They stopped working again. Probably worked when I reinstalled v1.3, then lost focus. grrr.. The behaviour above wrt learning remains correct however.

I'm using version 1.4 just fine.

The problem I'm having now is my LCD won't wake up when I use use the remote. My temporary fix is to play and stop a movie.

Hmm.. more testing. Changing channels in liveTV and from EPG when using the MVP and watching on theTV works FINE ...I can even see the Channel Numbers changing as USB-UIRT types it. It's only when I try to do it using the keyboard on the PC, when watching on the PC, that it doesn't work...

So you're saying the USB-UIRT seems fine, but the keyboard isnt working for you? Are you using the Cyberlink decoder?

- Well it seems fine using either v1.3 & v1.4 when I use the MVP ONLY. Keyboard changes analogue channels fine (so KB is OK:-) , but doesn't invoke a change on the STB via the USBUIRT.
- When I fiddled with v1.4 in the CONFIG it didn't accept the codes (see above post for more detailed description)
- Yes, I am using the Cyberlink Decoder as it happens, the "new" VMR9 (but also tried VMR7) BUT I had the same issue with the NVIDIA Decoder, which I also tried. Not sure what System Default is, but I tried THAT too.

I had a dekko at the logs, but no obvious errors, not that I have a clue what I'm looking for.

The reason I mentioned the Cyberlink decoder, is that by default the Cyberlink decoder is not compatible with VMR. This can cause OSD graphics to be missing and keyboard events to be swallowed.
