GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device

Hi all,

I have a Hauppauge Nova-S-Plus installed with the latest BDA drivers from Hauppauge's site.

When I click on "map digital channels to EPG channels" I receive the above error. I am unable to configure the Nova-S-Plus card with GB-PVR.

Can you try deleting any SCAN-x.cache files you have in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\BDA to see if it helps?

thanks a lot ... that did the trick.

Although the first scan did not pick up any station when I remembered to change the following in the registry:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HCW88BDA\Parameters]
"DVBS_as_DVBT"=dword:00000000

I have one more question. Is it possible to scan 2 sat with one card at the same time? I have two LNBs (Astra and Hotbird) with my dish setup. Currently DiSEqC switch is set to A (Astra) in GB-PVR config and it is picking up all stations corectly. When switching to B (Hotbird) all the other stations tune in. But that way I have to switch manually between them. Any idea.

You'd need to setup two capture sources for the same card, one for each satellite.

Just curious, can you tell me if you've applied any of the gbpvr.exe patches I've posted since the official v0.96.12 release?

no I have not installed any post patches. I am running the original v096.12.

Please let me know, which one I should install or any other configuration settings I should post.
