MVP reboot with XDVD

Hi,

I am wondering if someone would have a clue of what is happening. The MVP repoots after a few seconds (from 30 to 60 sec) of playback with XDVD. The MVP seems to loose the connection and show the Hauppage MVP startup screen.

When I look in the various log files, I find the following in the gbpvr.exe-1.log:

I have tried several things and I have been surfing this forum without finding any input on this.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

I suspect this is happening when the playback position catches up to the transcoding position in the file. For this to work, your machine would need to be able to transcode faster than real time.

You are probably right. When playback starts, the cursor is almost at the end of the playback bar and the bar never seems to be able to catch up fast enough. I am surprised though with a 3Ghz P4, I would expect that transcoding would be fast enough. When I do playback via XDVD from my PC instead of MVP, then the transcoding seems fast enough. Is it possible that the streaming to MVP eats up too much processing power? Any hint on how I can increase the transcoding buffer before playback starts? Would that be a vlc command?

Sorry, I dont really know anything about this plugin, or whether it allows you to specifiy the startup buffering time.
