New Skin: Contour

I had started Xrecord (I started by Xguide), but since I'm TV less, PC less and broadband less for another month at least, maybe someone will want to pick the Xrecord modules where I left them...

I'm new to this and I'm trying to get things worked out on my 'playing' PC before I set up my main box. I like the looks of this skin, but I can't get GBPVR to load if I select it in the config program. If I switch back to the standard blue skin, GBPVR loads again. Are there necessary dependancies that I need? I don't see any listed on the wiki.

Try to load GBPVR again with the Contour skin selected. After it hangs, open up the gbpvr.exe.log and see if you can determine what is causing it to hang. You might find an error or one of the last items to install and that might give you a clue as to what the problem is.

I have experienced the problem you are describing in the past with other skins when I had the video archiver plugin enabled. For whatever reason I am not able to use the video archiver with my setup. So as soon as I removed the plugin from the plugin folder, I was able to load that skin again.

If you post your gbpvr.exe.log file it should list the error that is preventing the video archiuve plug-in form coming up.

Installed it, but it wont show up on my config menu. Any idea why?

Sounds like you didn't 'install' it correctly. Does the directory structure for the Contour skin look just like the blue skin?

Torque - i just installed GBPVR last night and liked the look of your skin so downloaded the zip file and extracted the contents to my skins folder, i can confirm that it has the same look to the blue skin - but i cant see it in config either.

This is a common mistake. If you "Extract to -> ContourHC", it will create a ContourHC directory, then extract the folder ContourHC and its contents. The results is the files are one level deeper than they should be.

Im sure i copied the contour folder direct from the zip to the skins folder but will check again tonight when i get home.
