OK, if you choose xmltv, you need to have an xmltv file to point it at. I'm guessing you dont have one of those either?
To get this xmltv file you need to download and run some xmltv software. Exactly which software depends on which part of the world you're in.

Yes thank you, Im in canada, where would I get that from to make a xml file?

Since you're in Canada, you should use the zap2it EPG option.
It'll require you to enter a username and password. You can get these by visiting http://labs.zap2it.com and creating a free account, and adding your channel lineup. When it asks for a certificate code, use DCZM-DENI-BUTV

thanks for walking me through this, Im used to helping others too on forums and I know how frustrating it can be to walk people through steps.
brb
well I have done all that, and the channel are add through the zapit plugin, but it just keeps telling me to update epg, when I click on "LIVE TV", even though I can see that the channels are now there list 2 -75 in config utility.
Any answer why it would be doing that? BTW For the channel changer plugin what should be there? I have never heard of the choices. EDIT I guess I had to exit everything and restart seems like TV works now, thanks a bunch my friend, can I ask 1 last question, if I want to switch sources to the s-video or composite (once I hook up a vcr) where can I do that in the config. I dont see where.

What type of capture device do you have?
2006-03-31, 03:34 AM
If you have an HDTV device, you'll need to manually enter the tuning information as described here: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Confi...HDTVSource

TV is fine now, I have a threatrix 550 pro (ATI, sapphire).
Can you point to where I can change the input device, (ie S-video, composite) so when I hook up a VCR for instance i can record it?

Its not really a good tool for dubbing tapes of a VCR. You're better off using some other software for that job. GB-PVR is all about recording TV shows.
