Great plugin looks nice and works well

... but I have a problem and a request!

1) The page down button works but the page up does not. (red and yellow buttons)

2) Could you make it so that as you step down the list of albums on the left, the information on the selected album is automatically displayed on the right, currently I have to press Right Arrow to show the info.

You may want to make the second one configurable (on/off) in the config as I guess it would make stepping down the list of albums slower.

Would make a good plugin even better

Thanks

This is strange, both always work for me (MediaMVP remote). What remote are you using?

Yes that is correct. The browsing get terribly slow with a future like this (like you say), so that is why I have decided to use either the OK button or the right arrow to display the songs. Hope you can get used to it, cause I dont think I will add this function.

Thanks. No it cant, and im afraid I dont think we will add this feature. When the Jukebox plugin starts, it builds a database containing all available songs and then randomly inits the list. Since MAP is not aware of any more songs than the ones in Music Queue and the Music Queue is not (yet) possible to random, this really cant be done.

I might just ask sub for a few more programmable features in the AudioQueue for the next release, but we have to see about that. But - I also think it would be cool to be able to random the Music Queue, so look out for next version [Image: wink.gif]

I just dowloaded your plug-in last night and I love it. Job well done. This is exactly the tool I've been looking for.

FYI - I went the route of creating a playlist (m3u) for each of my albums instead of pointing the player to my music directory. I found it easier to control what I see.

I do have one question. Using the interface I added a bunch of songs to a playlist. Then I made the mistake of clicking play (instead of the blue button). The play button blew away my playlist. I feel like it should be more difficult to lose my current playlist.

I think I also found a bug. While listening to my playlist I clicked the pause button. The song was correctly paused. However, when I clicked the play button, I once again lost my playlist. Perhaps I am doing sometihng incorrectly?

Thanks again for the fantastic plugin. I have downloaded the source code and will try to understand it. Possibly I can add some new features as well

I have had this problem several times. It seems to be a conflict between ir.exe and the GBPVR remote control. If you close ir.exe on the pc everything then acts normally. I have been running MAP for several weeks and this has only happened to me twice.

Just another comment - I am noticing loud clicks at the end of some tracks - is this a common problem and what causes this?

I thought that you had to shut down ir.exe to use the integrated ir in gbpvr

I thought I would run something by you...

I downloaded the source and changed the "P" and the "Enter" button to behave like the "B" button. This way they all append to the playlist. To me this seems more intuitive. Otherwise I continuously press the wrong button and lose my playlist.

I get this as well but I am only aware of hearing it on the MVP I never seem to notice it when the music is being played on the pc itself

I hear it using both the jukebox and the music album plugins

Really happy to hear your positive comments about MAP, thanks everyone. Just going to post a few comments:

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]I do have one question. Using the interface I added a bunch of songs to a playlist. Then I made the mistake of clicking play (instead of the blue button). The play button blew away my playlist. I feel like it should be more difficult to lose my current playlist.

This is by design. The reason for this is that we (me and the beta testers) wanted the Play button to instantly play the song and not just add to the queue like it does in Jukebox. What I first thought MAP should do was to add the file you press play on last in the Music Queue and skip to it, but this is impossible by the way things are designed (you cant skip audio tracj back/forth programmatly using the plugin interface). This is a feature I am going to ask sub about to add for upcoming relases of GB-PVR. But for now I believe that once you learned that "Play means clear and play this song/album" and "Blue button means add song/album to playlist" it should work... But I am also keen of the idea to create a configurable option for it.

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]I think I also found a bug. While listening to my playlist I clicked the pause button. The song was correctly paused. However, when I clicked the play button, I once again lost my playlist. Perhaps I am doing sometihng incorrectly?

No you did not. This is a bug I am afraid. Will look into it for upcoming versions...

I can also hear this sometimes on my MediaMVP. During next week or so I will try to add a SPDIF-out to my box to get better audio output, it should be interesting to notice if this also helps me get rid of the clicks...

Tobias,
I sent you an email today under the name smelcher. I have made the "Play" button configurable. By default it will behave as it currently does, by playing a song directly. If you untick the configuration it will cause the song to be appended to the queue. I can send the code if you are interested. I am anxious to help in any way I can. I'm a hugh fan of what you've put together.

I'd be willing to write the recursive directory traverser if you are interested as well.
