How do I use this? I tried dragging/dropping my recordings and it makes some text file. But what do I do with it? How exactly to get get comskip to rip the commercials? Or is it not suppose to rip them?

If it doesn't rip them whats the easiest method to remove them from my recordings?

The easiest way is to have GBPVR run comskip automatically via config-processing-run comskip from current directory. Than set GBPVR to automatically skip commercials in config-misc tab.
GBPVR then uses the createt txt-file to skip the commercials.

oh so it only skips commercials within GBPVR. Is there a app or a way to rip them like if I want to burn them to be watched on a DVD player?

configure comskip to output the .edl files also and then you can recode with mencoder and it cuts the commercials out of the file, or i believe comclean works with the regular .txt files as-is also..[probably your best bet]

oh yea,also VideoReDo does a very nice job at cutting without re-encoding..
