Way to not record the same show?

Is there a plugin or a way to set GBPVR to not record already recorded episode of the show? I hate having to try and remember by reading the info if I already got it. I've recording 2-3 of the same episode before and it's a waste of time.

there is an option in gbpvr, I think it is on the last tab of the config screen, to not record duplicates. The video archive plugin also does this as does xrecord.

Does GBPVR just not copy it if it's a duplicates even if it's set to record? Or does it warn me?

This setting is only for zap2it users, since that is the only source of show listings that provide show identifiers. When enabled, it wont schedule recordings of shows with a 'show identifier' the same as one you already have, or already have scheduled.

somewhere in the last couple updates the duplicate recording feature stopped working... i saw a post a while back reporting that problem. do you have a patch for that or is there something i need to correct somewhere? when the feature was first released it did work on my setup.

I have the "Don't record duplicates" set as well, but I get many of the same episodes. I am using Zap2it for my listings as well.

Give me an example show (name, channel number, times) and I'll take a look.

Zap2it do not provide show identifiers for some shows, so these are all treated as new episodes.

I am using zap2it aswell and I just had to delete a couple of the same shows. Is there a better way?
