Sound Problems

I`m using the (great!) gbpvr app along with my Haupauge WinTV PVR USB2 card, to record and watch TV (through Antenna, not cables). Alas, my recordings suffer from two problems: most of the shows (not all, and not in any consistent form) have the sound garbled and distorted. I checked the file using other players and the problem is still there. The second problem is a short recording: I set up an one hour recording (or select a program from the EPG) and it records only 15 min or so. There is no shortage in disk space: I have always more than 15 Gigs free.

What can be the problem? Can someone help?

This is usally means your machine has problems with the PVR USB2 device, and you most likely wont be able to record long recordings with other apps (wintv etc). Might be worth checking this. You maybe able to find more info over at http://www.shspvr.com/smf
