Big thanks to SHS and Hauppauge

I'd like to give a big thanks to both Hauppauge for supplying a new PVR350, and to SHS for arranging it for me. Without this replacement card, development was going to be very difficult.

That's cool. How about sharing with us what's on your todo list so we can get a sneak peek at what's coming (like fixing the MCE remote 2min skip)?

Also is there anything us non-programmers can help the project along with (other than complaining when things are broken) such as documentation, etc?

I've got a few more interesting features planed for the next release. I can confirm that the MCE remote double skip is fixed, but you'll have to wait and see for the others. Next release will probably be about a week and half away.

Documentation is very much in need of an update. The currently available documentation is based on the v0.8 release, which is going back a while now. It was adaquate for a few releases after that, but is now started to become a bit dated. If you're interested in updating it, and updating some of the screenshots it contains, let me know and I can zip it up and email it over. I'd do it myself, but already I dont find enough hours in the day to do support, fix bugs and implement new features.

One thing it'd be nice to have is a photo of the Hauppauge remote, with a list of functions and keystrokes for each button (probably with arrows point to buttons). It might have a short page of text to go with it to provide the 'quick start' information.

Given that you use the MCE remote, you might want to produce the equiv for that remote. Someone else could add the Hauppauge picture to go with it.

Yeah that sounds good. I'm not great at writing documentation but I'm not bad, Word is a great tool to have with its spell checker and what not

I am *not* at all an artist nor do I claim to be whatsoever. I can make a scan of the Hauppauge remote with my scanner (edit: I have the silver one, someone else would have to scan the black one if you want both included), but actually doing anything graphical with it, I'll leave in someone else's more capable hands, if someone else is interested in doing that? I can also make a scan of my MCE remote, but I think it's different than the one you have. Maybe we should have a section, something like, if your MCE remote looks like this: (then) OR if your MCE remote looks like this: (then)

Does that make sense?

Also, not to nag, but is the next release going to see a fix for the Net Radio ' cutoff bug? Sorry it's just a minor annoyance.

Edit 2: and how about using the CH +/- on the MCE remote as page up and page down?

I think the new egg website contained decent photos of the MCE remote and maybe the Hauppauge remote also.

CH +/- as pgup/pgdown would make life very nice when browsing the TV Guide

Net Radio cutoff bug, any song with a ' in it cuts the rest of the name off.

Example: Song should display as: "Britney Spears - Don't crap on me" (ok I never said I was imaginative) but the song will show up as "Britney Spears - Don"
