No progress bar in recorded shows?

Hi,
I can't seem to get a progress bar to display when playing back recorded shows. I can get a progress bar when playing videos by pressing the blue button the Hauppauge remote, but this doesn't seem to do anything when it's a recorded show. Am I missing something???

Long shot, but do you have "Minimal OSD" option on? Not sure if that would render such a behaviour; I have never used it myself.

'Recorded Shows' are tv shows that gbpvr records. I access them through the 'Recordings' menu.

'Videos' are usually downloaded .avi files that I put in a separate directory and I access them through the 'Videos' menu.

I haven't tried copying a recorded .mpg file into the videos directory and seeing if I can access a progress bar from there. I'll try that and see what happens.

I'm using XRecord, and playing either through "Recordings" or "Videos" menu, I always get a progress bar when hitting Ctrl-B (blue button). It also works in the original "Recordings" and "Video Library" plugins.

The "Videos" menu, is that the "Video Archive Plugin"? If so, my guess is that this feature is missing in that plugin.

Problem Solved. I selected a different video decoder in Video Decoder option in the config-playback menu and now I am able to see the overlay progress bar. I changed it from 'system default' to 'InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder'. Must have something to do with the codec and overlay.

It was probably trying to use Cyberlink with VMR, which is an incompatible combination unless you add some registry settings.
