Hi,

I have installed the latest version of GB-PVR, and I'm using a Hauppauge 350 with it...

I would like to record TV shows without the commercials. I've installed the comskip files, but it appears to be something that I can use while viewing commercials.

I want a way that removes them entirely from the video file. I've downloaded TV shows (torrents) that people made without commercials, and they are excellent.

How can I do this? Please point me to some step-by-step instructions for an effective method.

Thank you.

Hugs,

Raeba

Search the forums for 'comclean'. It can be configured to automatically remove the commercials identified by comskip.

The longer answer:

Recording without commercials not likely. Commercial detection would be very very hard to combine with writing the file.

You can manually cut out the commercials with a program like videoredo. Gets accurate cuts no mistakes because you have to do it manually.

Comclean is something you can add to your postprocessing.bat that will take the comskip file and cut the mpeg accordingly based on what it detects.

You can use VideoReDo to automatically remove commercials (with comskip), instead of comclean.
