New utility to help with channel tuning probs

As so many european users have difficultly finding the right channel numbers to key into GB-PVR against their channels, I've spent some time this weekend making a utility to help make it easier.

If you're currently experiencing these problems, or have had them in the past, you could download http://www.gbpvr.com/TuningAssistant.exe and give it a try.

It just a simple channel scanner that will help you find the channel numbers. This is really a test run for integrating something directly into GB-PVR.

Works fine for me (I'm in Norway).

I allowed it to scan the entire range and verified each channel against my current (Sage assisted) GB-PVR channel list.

Works very well in the UK on WinTV 350 - Antenna setting. Picked up all channels correctly.

Works fine for German (analog) cable TV, with Hauppauge PVR350.

Gives an error: ConnectPins failed, but the channel search ok

BUT This app wont find my missing channel MTV.
MTV works nice on winTV2000 but not on PVR. Hauppauge reports channel number 29 for MTV and preset 9

Does WinTV2000 show you the frequency used by MTV? If so, how does it compare to the frequency GB-PVR says when it gets to channel 29 in its search?
