Does the deinterlacing option on the Misc tab have any effect when using Nova-t USB device?
(I guess this would actually apply to any BDA card)

What are the pro / cons of using "direct access to haupage remote" ?
I have the 45 button haupage remote, and am not using direct access.
I don’t have any problems it works fine, I'm just curious.

No, these mean nothing for the BDA devices. DVB signals are already MPEG2 encoded, so its effectively the equivalent of being stuck with the 'encoder pass-through' deinterlacing setting.

This option is only for the PVR250/350, so not something you need to worry about with your Nova-T.
