This has happened three times now intermittently over the last month.

I schedule a recording task from the EPG. You see Bob the Builder rules according to my 2 year old son. The recoding time is 10 minutes from about 9:30AM.

I come home from work in the evening many hours later and we are still recording... like 14Gb later!

I can't stop the recording or the recording service without a reboot. Then everything works fine again for a few weeks. The computer is in all other ways responsive. All my other recordings work fine.

I wonder if it has something to do with a short recording job beacuse its always Bob the builder's 10 minutes that has prompted it.

Has anyone else seen this?

"Can we fix it?"

Yes I have seen it. I have had it a few times when I was using Hauppauge PVR 350 cards but I have not seen it since I had Nova-T. The problem is that the recording service losses control over the card. It gives a stop signal and it does not stop. I dont think its a gb-pvr issue. More lilely your card drivers that are cuasing the problem.

Thanks. I might check to see it there is a driver update.

I have also now sheduled a 3:00AM restart of the PC (which was on 24x7) as it seems this (and some other) little hiccups tend to occur after several days of continious running.

Is there any errors listed in your GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log file?

Nah, I was too slow getting the logs and they have been overwritten. I will make sure to grab them if it happens again.

Thanks Sub.
