First off, I absolutely love the XRecord suite, it's truly a wonder, but I had a question, and unforutunately I don't think it's something that is a function right now... I'll use 1 episode as an example.

Recently I recorded the PTV episode of Family Guy [which IMO was absolutely histerical] but it was rainy outside and I got a bad capture. I would like to re-record it in the upcoming re-runs, but I believe it's in the rectracker database and won't. I think it would be an awesome feature to specify in whatever component that duplicates should be determined by what is actually in the TV folder on the hard drive.

i.e. my TV directory is C:\TV . If I move PTV.mpg from c:\TV\Family Guy to my desktop, XRecord should realize that it is not there and re-record it, that way I have my old copy until the new one records. Basically, check the existing files for their ID numbers in whatever database and use those to determine duplicates. I think this would be a nice additional feature that could be specified per-show (i.e. in priorityrecordings.xml.) For instance, I'm trying to collect all Family Guy episodes and some don't record in as high quality as others (differing channels and whatnot) and I would like to delete and re-record all Family Guys that I don't have in the Family Guy folder, but when it comes to shows like The Simpsons, I just want to record the ones I haven't seen, watch em and delete em, which is what the plugin does wonderfully right now [and I don't want that to change.] Is there a way for me to do this, or is it a possibly implementable feature in the future? Thanks in advance for any help. I'm not sure what logs and whatnot could be of help if there is something that can be done right off the bat, otherwise I'd post some. Thanks.

Actually slight clarification, I usually export all my episode information to .dat files and am in the process of re-structuring the folder and converting some to .AVI if that makes any difference in terms of what I've described. Right now as it stands my Family Guy folder stands as follows:

C:\TV\Family Guy\ <-- Recordings go here, renamerecordings the whole deal.
C:\TV\Family Guy\Cut\ <-- Episodes where I cut out commercials manually go here.

Right now all files are .mpg and accompanied with corresponding .dat file, but I will soon be converting them to .avi to save HDD space when I find a suitable filesize/quality ratio.

Final thought...

I just ran rectracker -purge -subtitle and the following showed:

Purging 107 Family Guy PTV

PTV is currently located at C:\Docum...\Desktop\Missing Info\ and I would like to re-record this episode. (Basically if the file is no longer in the show's folder, remove it from the recorded database)

You can also go into XRecords Watched option, find the episode you recorded, and delete that episode from the Watched list. The next time that episode shows up, it'll be recorded, and added to the watched list again.

Really? That simple? Wow, thank you very very much, I didn't know that would remove it from the recorded list thing. Thanks again!

I was actually going to post tonight that it's still a little buggy. I was removing a recording cut off by a late football game, and it threw an error that I couldn't close w/ the remote, and kept GB closed.

It's been working better in that respect, but it still seems to error on something. In this case, it was a show that I recorded that night.

Seconded, every time I deleted something GBPVR crashed. It did seem to remove them from the database but crashed nonetheless.
